Welcome to Kotka, Finland
The NECSTouR Summit is a joint event by Visit Kotka-Hamina and NECSTouR that brings together European regions, DMOs and partners to shape the future of tourism. It focuses on practical solutions for sustainable and regenerative tourism, strengthening regional resilience, improving destination management through cooperation, and building skills and partnerships for a changing operating environment.
For whom is this event?
This event is aimed at bringing together policymakers, destination managers, sustainability experts, and regional innovators, municipalities, tourism experts as well as regional and national level DMOs.
Why attend the event?
The event includes a NECSTouR Board Meeting, NECSTouR Summit and study visits, offering opportunities to share best practices, exchange practical knowledge and build partnerships that translate strategy into action across European destinations. Keynote Address 13.00-14.00
Doug Lansky, author of recently published book “Why Tourism is Broken and How to Fix it?” and has given acclaimed lectures at over 150 universities, hundreds of major tourism destinations, hotel associations, airports and leading tourism companies, from Google Travel to AmEx to Booking.com to the United Nation Tourism, as well as three TEDx Talks and set the attendance record for keynote lectures when he first spoke at ITB Berlin. Delegates will be given a free copy of Doug’s new book.
