October is a popular travel season for Finns, who enjoy fall break nationwide to attend events, enjoy autumn foliage, and trek in nature. Also, the coastal town Kotka arranges an annual light festival Aaltoja during the fall break, which brings travelers to the maritime island city located by the gorgeous archipelago of the Eastern Gulf of Finland, which is part of the Baltic Sea.

November and December bring us another favorite travel season with dozens of Christmas events. East Coast attracts travelers to roam Christmas markets for shopping artisan gifts and admire wonderfully decorated old buildings, Christmas windows, and private homes dressed for the occasion and open for visitors looking for Christmas inspiration at an annual event on historical houses of Loviisa. At the beginning of the year 2023, we will see the effect of these beautiful events on visitor statistics.
