Kotka Maritime Festival (Kotkan Meripäivät) is one of the oldest and most popular summer festivals in Finland. It attracts about 200,000 visitors every year. Festival offers a wide variety of events for all ages, most of it for free. The diverse festival program is a delightful mix of music, sports and family events. All the events are organized in the maritime Kotka, only about an hour’s drive from Helsinki, the capital city of Finland. During the four-day festival the whole town gets together to celebrate and to – most importantly – enjoy the unique atmosphere Meripäivät is famous for. Kotka Maritime Festival takes place the last weekend in July and is organized annually. Come and enjoy summer on the east coast!
