Pitkäthiekat beach is located in a natural pine forest area, by the sea, approximately 6 km from the center of Hamina. It is a pleasant place to relax even in winter. When the ice is thick enough, you can ski or snowshoe on the sea in a sunny bay.
For cyclists, this destination is excellent, offering beautiful views of a reed-filled sea bay with bird watching towers along the way. Hamina’s cycling routes are suitable for families with children, as there are good bike paths in the area. Southeastern Finland provides numerous options for road cyclists on peaceful rural roads amidst stunning farmland.
