Strömfors Bed & Bistro
Strömfors Bed & Bistro is a cozy small mansion hotel in the middle of the historical and picturesque Strömfors Iron works village located in Ruotsinpyhtää in Loviisa. It offers warm hotel-style accommodation year round. The accommodations are located on the upper floor of the main manor built in 1892, as well as in Krouvinmäki, built in 1784 and located 50 meters away from the main manor.
At Strömfors Bed & Bistro you’ll find the village’s own restaurant, where good local food, thoughtful drinks and a warm atmosphere come together. It is an honest and straightforward bistro, easy to step into and easy to return to.
Opening hours follow the rhythm of the seasons. During summer, you are welcome for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is recommended to make a reservation, though you are equally free to drop in on a whim. You may dine inside the manor house or outside in the garden when the weather allows.
Strömfors Bed & Bistro is a place for a brief visit or a longer stay. It is open year-round by request, and the spaces are well suited for meetings and celebrations. The atmosphere is unhurried, the welcome sincere, and it is easy to arrive just as you are.

Sauna by the River or at the Mansion
At Strömfors Ironworks village, sauna is part of the whole experience and part of life’s better moments. It is when time slows down just enough for everyone to find the same rhythm. The heat, the cool air against your skin, the river flowing nearby or the quiet calm of the manor grounds. It is the feeling of not having to perform or achieve anything at all. And sometimes, it is exactly in that stillness that the best ideas appear.
At Strömfors Bed & Bistro, there are two saunas, each with its own character.
The SAAREN SAUNA is the ironworks village’s own hidden gem, just a short walk from the main manor building, right by the Kymijoki river near Lemmensilta bridge. It is a beautiful, private and peaceful spot where you can sit and watch the water pass by or take a refreshing dip all year round. You can enjoy a quiet moment on your own, or let the space fill with the laughter of your favourite people. A wood-heated hot tub is available.
The KARTANOSAUNA is located in the main building of Strömfors Bed & Bistro. There is plenty of space, and from the changing room you step directly onto your own terrace to cool down. It is perfect after breakfast, at the end of a meeting day, or as a gentle pause before or after dinner. No transfers, no arrangements, just a few steps from the manor to the warmth. Traditional, uncomplicated sauna at its best.
Restaurant Strömforsin Mylly
Restaurant Strömforsin Mylly is where summer gathers in the old ironworks village. It’s the kind of place you wander into with family, friends or simply out of curiosity while passing through. You can book a table if you like, or just show up and see where the evening takes you. There is no rush here, and no expectation to leave before you are ready.
The food is familiar in the best possible way. Burgers, a classic schnitzel, generous salads and small plates to share with a drink. Portions are hearty, flavours are honest and the cooking is steady and thoughtful. Nothing needs explaining, yet everything is prepared with care.
Orders are placed at the counter and the atmosphere stays relaxed and unpretentious. In summer, the upper and lower terraces fill with conversation and laughter, and Mylly becomes a natural gathering point in the village. At the height of the season, the outdoor stage hosts summer theatre and live music for all ages, bringing people together long into the evening.
Throughout the summer, Mylly is open from late morning until evening. Outside the main season, it opens for private events and special occasions.
