Bunker Museum sheds light to the fascinating history of construction of the Salpa Line, fortification of Finland’s eastern border in Virolahti in 1940–1941 and 1944. The museums brand new indoor exhibition, opened in the summer of 2015, engages the visitor to a multisensory experience through the visit. Explore the captivating dugouts and other fortifications, nestling in the nature in the outdoor museum area and feel the spirit of the war time! The museum is part of the wartime line of defence that extends from the Gulf of Finland to Salla and, as field fortifications, all the way to the Arctic Ocean.
