Maritime Centre Vellamo has attracted attention in Finland and internationally, thanks to its museum exhibitions and award-winning architecture. The wavelike and monumental building rises proudly up to 30 metres with a length of 300 metres in the old City Port of Kotka , near the city centre.
Multicultural meeting place open for everyone providing cafe, lunch restaurant and summer terrace. There is also a handicraft shop, hairdresser, sewing service and beauty salon in the premises.
Mylly arranges also cultural events and parties. Facilities can be rented for private use.
Art gallery premises are located on the ground floor of Kotka City Library.

Maritime Centre Vellamo is bursting with stories, experiences and events. The main exhibits in the Maritime Museum of Finland and Museum of Kymenlaakso tell fascinating stories of seafaring and of life in general in Kymenlaakso. A range of temporary exhibitions are also held.
New road train Hedda Stina will take you to the finest sights of Kotkansaari island during June-August. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty of parks, sculptures and famous attractions for about an hour.

Proletarian theatre of Karhula was established in 1898 and is a nonprofessional theatre but more like a hobby theatre for locals. All year around stage is located in Cultural Hall Kyminsuu. Performances are updated every year and are mostly in Finnish.
